Lessons learned from the 2024 hurricane season

The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season was predicted to be one of the most active in recent history. In this webinar, Reask and EigenRisk revisit the forecast and compare it to what actually happened, dispute some misconceptions about the 2024 season, and share event response outcomes with Vave. The session also covers insights gained and the evolution of LiveCyc, Reask's probabilistic hurricane forecasting product, driven by its first full season with clients.

Topics covered

  1. The 2024 season forecast compared to what actually happened.

  2. The evolution of LiveCyc using scenarios.

  3. Tim Spencer from Vave shares his experience during the 2024 hurricane season.

  4. Preparing for future hurricane seasons.
